Grant Smith

This blog is going to be about Grant Smith and his recent campaign for photographers. Grant is an award-winning architectural and construction photographer. However it is said that Grant was harassed by the police when he was taking photographs of a church in London. Grant says "surrounded, questioned then searched by seven officers” Taking his revenge grant decided to start a campaign called ' I'm a Photographer, not a terrorist, which has been supported by hundreds of photographers and photography right activists groups. I’m a photography, not a terrorist is not just for photographers but anyone which values visual imagery, which most people do, being a reason why the campaign has been so popular. Smith and his followers took the campaign to the streets, with a peaceful protest in hope that the government will change their ways. During their protest their decided to take photographs of buildings then ran away, causing problems to security guards. Security guards in the past have been preventing people from legally photographing buildings. To me this is crazy, people have the right to document life, and that is what their simply doing. Im going to post a video about the protest in london, think you will find it quite interesting, hope you enjoy.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XS6FY_6Klhc&feature=player_embedded
